If you’d like to speak to a human, you can call us anytime. Once your account is created, you can also book a free phone consultation in our app.
For our Blockwalk or Comfort Care services, the first appointment must be a First Blockwalk. During this, our most experienced staff will meet your dog to assess any safety risks.
We prefer that you are not present for the first appointment, if you plan to book our services while you’re at work or out on a dinner date, as this will allow us to get an objective look at your dog's actual behaviour and will mimic the situation when we send a dog walker to your home to provide service at a later date.
However, if you plan to regularly book our services while you’re home, you are most welcome to be present for the initial walk.
Please note that if you are present for your First Blockwalk then you assume all risk should we provide services when you are not home and your dog injures a bwd Employee. This and more is outlined in more detail in our Terms & Conditions which all account holders are emailed.

As experienced pet care providers we can handle meeting dogs without prior introductions. If your pet enjoys making new friends, we can take care of them, while you are out and about. We accept lockboxes and other keyless entry methods.
For access:
Detached/Semi-Detached: Use outdoor lockboxes, front door keypads, garage keypads.
Apartments: Provide buzz code and have a lockbox on your door or leave a key with your concierge.
More entry methods are detailed in the Terms and Conditions emailed to every account holder when logging into the bwd Petcare app for the first time.

We ask that you list available parking options in your profile, such as free on-street parking, your driveway, or your garage spot if you’re not home. If our employees need to pay for parking for any reason - such as no space in your driveway, lack of free street parking, or parking bans due to weather - any costs incurred while providing services will be added to your invoice.

Dogs being walked by us are required to have current vaccinations for rabies and DHPP. You can list your pet's vaccinations in the Medical Section within their profile in our bwd Petcare app.

Absolutely; we offer the flexibility, reliability, and accountability that you need. Many of our clients are Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, Firefighters, Dispatchers, Bartenders, etc.
You are not locked into a schedule and there’s no weekly minimum service requirement. We walk dogs 9AM to 9PM, 7 days a week and there are only 5 days throughout the year when we are closed.

You can request walks anytime. The more notice that is given to us, the more likely we can accommodate your preferred start-time.
We charge a Last Minute Booking fee on any requests that are made within 48 hours from the top of an arrival window.

Any cancellations made to an already approved and assigned appointment should be made with a minimum of 48hrs from the top of your requested arrival window for the cost to be waived.
Giving fewer than 48hrs notice from the top of your arrival window will incur the full charge for the service.

It depends.
How often are you booking and does your schedule coincide with our staff member’s availability? We do our best.
The reality is that we walk dogs from 09h00 to 21h00, seven days a week and we do encourage that our staff keep a healthy work/life balance.
Our training program assures consistent service so that we can have a qualified walker assigned to your request whenever that might be. The more consistent you are then the more consistent we can be.
