“Growing up in Ottawa, animals were a regular part of my life. From deer in the front yard, squirrels and bunnies running about, and having pet hamsters, fish and a couple gerbils, I have always loved animals and their unique personalities. I now have a mini golden doodle and we love walking the many paths and scenic neighbourhoods of Ottawa! I am so happy to work with bwd, getting to spend time meeting new animal friends and exploring more of Ottawa. I really enjoy how working with bwd gets me outdoors more and I love learning new skills for pet care! Just as my dog is to my family, I know each pet I meet with bwd is an important family member and I will be sure to give them the absolute best care!!”

“Growing up, I would always ask to visit local animal shelters and visit friends with pets just so I could get to know the different types of animals and their respective breeds. Now, I get to do that everyday as a Walker with bwd and I could not be happier with my job. I've had so much fun meeting different pets around the city and it's amazing how little things like a tail wagging or content purring can easily make one's day. The bwd team is also such an incredible group of individuals who really care about their clientele and staff. Since my first day of training, I have learned so much while consistently feeling supported by the bwd staff. Overall, I can't wait to keep moving forward with bwd!”

“Since I was little I’ve always been drawn to animals and the love and comfort they give us! I couldn’t believe when I found this job that I get to do this for a living! I’ve grown up around all different kinds of animals and my love for them has only grown more with this job. Being able to provide a positive service to these amazing creatures makes my whole day. "I have always loved all kinds of animals since my childhood. I have also volunteered for 8 years at an animal shelter as a dog walker to help dogs in need. After moving to Ottawa, I needed to continue my passion for dog walking and working with pets , that is where I found bwd. I love meeting all the new dogs and other pets I come across at bwd and adapting to their individual needs and at the same time I get to spend time outdoors and get exercise alongside the dogs, it's a win win. Everyone at bwd has been supportive whenever needed, and I can say that I found the right place at bwd to continue my passion for working with dogs and all kinds of pets, and I am always looking forward to my next work day!”

“I grew up in the country with a house full of pets. Cats, dogs, birds, we had them all. I have always had a passion for working with animals, and I am so happy to be doing it again. I love spending my days outdoors, and going on adventures with all the lovely dogs we work with. “Dogs! The Outdoors! Exercise! These are the things that make me happy. With that said, joining this team as a walker was a no-brainer. I’m outside walking dogs every day and could not be happier! It’s not all about the dogs though, the team around me is also incredible. We can always go to each other with questions and know that someone will be there to help.
