“Hi! My name is Rebecca, but I go by Beckah. I grew up with dogs and cats, so my love for animals started at a very young age and has only grown stronger over the years. I’m deeply involved in the rescue community and am part of a well-known nonprofit organization, where I foster dogs and serve as a Foster Director Assistant. I’m currently on foster number 13! I help place dogs in appropriate foster homes and do weekly check-ins to make sure both the dogs and families are supported.

Being new to Ottawa, I’ve enjoyed exploring different areas and finding great spots to visit with my dogs. Working at bwd felt like a natural fit for me because of my passion for animals and the rescue world. Outside of work, I ride horses and absolutely love crocheting — I even make my own sweaters (and matching ones for my dog!). I’m happiest outdoors, whether I’m camping, off-roading, or spending weekends in the woods. I love embracing hobbies that let me get outside and try new things.”
