This service helps prevent matting. If your dog is already matted or impacted, a Full Groom is required.

Who is this for?
Best suited for dogs with coats that are at risk of tangling, packing, or matting if not properly maintained.
This includes many double-coated breeds, longer coats, and dogs that require consistent grooming to stay comfortable and tangle-free.
Regular grooming helps maintain coat condition, manage shedding, and keep your dog comfortable between appointments. Recommended frequency is every 4–8 weeks depending on coat type, lifestyle, and whether Brushouts are used between full grooms.

Nail Health Package

If your dog’s quicks are overgrown, regular maintenance is required to gradually encourage them to recede. This typically involves nail trimming and dremeling every two weeks, which can be difficult to maintain consistently without support.
This package is designed to improve long-term nail health through a structured maintenance schedule.
What’s included?
The MEDIcure Package includes 6 (six) nail maintenance visits for one pet.
Each visit includes:

Service performed from our fully equipped, climate-controlled mobile grooming van at your location
We come to you for convenience and consistency.

Visits expire after 10 weeks from the date of first service. This service is not flexible. We will schedule all six visits two weeks apart on your behalf. Appointments subject to change without notice. Entry methods recommended.

Charges for special circumstances:
Dematting – $1/minute
Matting must be removed prior to bathing to ensure proper cleaning and protect the skin. This process requires additional time and increases wear on grooming equipment.
Where dematting is necessary, this fee will be applied. Coat condition is assessed at the start of the appointment and confirmed with you before proceeding.
Prevention:
Routine maintenance appointments between full grooms help prevent matting and reduce overall grooming time and stress.
Vaccination & Illness Policy
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required for all pets in accordance with legal and safety standards. Pets not yet eligible for vaccination may be accommodated at our discretion.
If a pet becomes unwell during the appointment and the service cannot continue safely, grooming will be stopped and a Biohazard Cleaning Fee ($25) will be applied.
Prevention:
Ensure your pet has eliminated prior to the appointment and reschedule if any signs of illness are present.
Groomer’s Helper – $15
Applied when an additional handler is required to safely complete the service. This is determined solely at our discretion based on temperament and handling requirements.
Prevention:
Consistent grooming schedules help maintain tolerance for handling and reduce the likelihood of requiring additional support.

All grooms occur in our fully equipped, modern, and climate controlled Mobile Grooming Van with two experienced staff members.

As experienced pet care providers we can handle meeting dogs without prior introductions. If your pet enjoys making new friends, we can collect them from your home while you are out and about. We accept lockboxes and other keyless entry methods.
For access:
Detached/Semi-Detached: Use outdoor lockboxes, front door keypads, garage keypads.
Apartments: Provide buzz code and have a lockbox on your door or leave a key with your concierge.
More entry methods are detailed in the Terms and Conditions emailed to every account holder when logging into the bwd Petcare app for the first time.

If your pet is too young to be vaccinated we can still help you.
However, all customers must provide proof of vaccination for all pets over 16 weeks.
Vaccinating your pet against rabies is the law and we do require all vet recommended vaccinations for the safety of our staff and all other customers.

We require 48 hours notice of any cancellations or you will be charged the full fee payable before rebooking.

We will enter your home using the home entry instructions you provide. Your appointment will be considered a cancellation if we cannot enter your home and services cannot be provided.
If you would prefer to bring your pet out to us please let us know at booking.

You can request services anytime. The more notice that is given to us, the better. Due to high demand, we kindly ask that you list a couple of alternative dates that work for you in the notes section when booking the appointment, to help us schedule your appointment more efficiently based on geographical location. As a reminder you don't have to be home when we come and do our magic!
We do not charge any Last Minute Request fees on grooming services.

Dry shampoo is great for dogs that are anxious in the bath or don’t love the loud dryers. It eliminates the wash altogether and reduces the time the dog needs to spend under the dryer (if any at all). It's also great for those times that are in between a regular water groom.
Dry shampoo is in no way a replacement for a water bath but it's great for light cleaning and surface dirt. You can also use dry shampoo after a dematting process.
