Yes. For cat grooming appointments, we require someone to be present to hand the cat over at the start of the service.

We do transport cats from the home to our mobile grooming van and return them at the end of the appointment in their carrier. If the owner is not home for the return, we can safely place the cat back inside the carrier in the home as long as access has been arranged in advance.

This process helps ensure your cat is handled safely from start to finish and keeps the experience as controlled and stress-free as possible.

Sedation is not required for cat grooming, but it may be prescribed by your veterinarian for at-home administration at the owner’s discretion. We do not sedate any animals.

We generally prefer to assess and work with your cat without sedation first, as this allows us to observe their natural temperament and behaviour and adjust handling appropriately.

We use low-stress feline handling techniques and can support cats with positive reinforcement, including treats such as Churu or Catit where appropriate.
