"I’ve always known that animals would be at the heart of my life. Growing up with all sorts, from cats and dogs to rats and hamsters, I loved giving them the best care, keeping them active, and teaching them tricks to keep them challenged! I got to give this care to other pets when my neighbours hired me to walk their dogs, and then when I got a job at a veterinary clinic. I learned how to understand different animals’ moods and personalities, which are skills that continue to serve me well at bwd Petcare.

When I wasn’t with my own pets, I was outside feeding the birds and squirrels in my backyard, sparking an interest in wildlife that led me to pursue a degree in Wildlife Conservation Biology at Trent University. I’ve always loved the outdoors, spending much of my free time hiking, camping, and biking.

Now, I am so grateful that I get to combine my love for animals and the outdoors through my work at bwd! There’s no better job than meeting new pets, spending time with them, and making them happy. I’m constantly learning more about pet care, and I’m so proud to be part of a team that not only delivers the highest quality care to animals but also supports its staff every step of the way."
